In our opening session, we will have a conversation considering some of the most notable global infrastructure trends and developments that have shaped the public-private partnership landscape. With global experts across countries and sectors, we will delve into the infrastructure challenges different regions of the world are facing and how governments and private sector actors engage in the landmark projects that act as catalysts for economic development.

The rise of technology applications is changing the way people and communities interact with infrastructure. This panel will discuss opportunities related to the role of technology in infrastructure investments and trends in the industry. We will evaluate successful cases of implementation of technology on infrastructure projects and contemplate what the future will look like.
2. The infrastructure investment debate – Is there a best way to invest in infrastructure? @ 2400
The role of the public and private sector in funding and financing infrastructure is debated across the world. This debate will focus on the barriers and opportunities in investing in infrastructure. The discussion will cover the sensitivity of the cost of capital, risk and return profile and innovative project financing/funding structures.

In closing, we will discuss issues related to innovative ways players in the industry and countries are accelerating infrastructure investments. We will discuss development models that can be widely applied across the world, policies that can be replicated throughout governments and upcoming delivery models that will emerge over the next decade.
