President & CEO of STRIVE International
Phil Weinberg is the President & CEO of STRIVE International, a leading national workforce development organization that has helped over 60,000 individuals secure meaningful employment over its 30 year history. Based in East Harlem, New York, and with sites in 20 cities, STRIVE equips men and women them with the skills and attitudes needed to break the barriers that keep them in poverty. STRIVE has been featured in numerous national publications, including recently by the New York Times and the CBS Evening News.
Phil’s career has spanned the public and private sectors, focusing on social impact organizations that build pipelines of opportunity in under-served communities across the country. In this capacity, he has held leadership positions with educational and human services organizations in Chicago, Philadelphia and New York City, as well as private sector positions with the global education company, Kaplan, Inc., and with the management consulting firm, Bain & Company. Immediately prior to joining STRIVE in 2011, Phil served in the Bloomberg Administration as President of the New York City Workforce Investment Board, the largest local workforce area in the nation, responsible for driving, coordinating and overseeing workforce development services in New York City. Phil serves on numerous nonprofit boards, including serving as Board Chair of the New York City Employment & Training Coalition, which represents nearly 200 agencies in New York City.
Phil holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Northwestern University. A native of Philadelphia, he lives in New York City with his wife Jessica and their two daughters
Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Robin Hood Foundation
Joanna joined Robin Hood in 2016 and works for the President of Robin Hood on a variety of poverty-fighting initiatives as well as organizational strategic planning. Prior to starting at Robin Hood, Joanna worked at Bain & Company as a consultant, with experience in the financial services, retail, private equity, and healthcare practices as well as volunteering for pro-bono cases with New York City non-profit clients. She holds an MBA and an MPP from Harvard Business School and the Kennedy School of Government, and received her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

Jackson Bird is a video creator, transgender advocate, and wizard activist. He is best known for his work with the Harry Potter Alliance, a nonprofit that activates fan communities towards social action. A YouTube NextUp Creator, Class of 2016, Jackson also produces videos about identity, social action, and what happens when you put tacos on a waffle iron. In 2015, he was a LogoTV Social Trailblazer nominee and a finalist for Forbes 30 Under 30. Jackson is also the Digital Marketing Consultant for Mischief Management, a Geeks Who Drink Quizmaster, and a Postmates delivery boy.
